End of a Season
"End of a Season" Oil on Board 24"x18"Actually, it is the beginning of a season....the ground is thawing, the daffodils are almost in bloom and I see buds on the lilac bushes around my house. There is new life everywhere and new paintings are being born in the studio as well. This one, painted in the fall, was just delivered to Art Fusion in Bigfork MT ( http://www.bigforkartfusion.com/ ) to make room for the new creations!

Back in the Studio
"Follow Your Bliss" oil on board 8"x10" I am happy to be creating in my Montana studio again after spending the better part of 2010 working on my brother's US Senate campaign . What an incredible experience that was and quite a change from my solitary artist lifestyle. I was honored and so proud to be a part of his team!
Since then I have been painting, painting, painting and have a full 2011 show season scheduled.....Stay tuned for for more updates soon!!

Painitng in Arizona
What an inspiring retreat! I just spent a week working with my friend and artist colleague Mary Frances (http://themaryfrances.com/ ) in her Tucson, AZ studio. I painted landscapes with encaustics and Mary Frances was creating a traditional icon with egg tempera. We kept marveling at how cool it was that we were working in the two most ancient mediums!
I also had a two hour private consultation with encaustic artist/gallery owner Miles Conrad (http://www.milesconrad.com/) at the Conrad Wilde Gallery (http://www.conradwildegallery.com/ )
He gave me some constructive feedback and great suggestions. I am re energized to get back to work in my own studio.
